This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. Government. Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized CARS, DoT, and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies, both domestic and foreign.
That is the privacy statement concerning the Dealership access to Cars.gov.
This is scary stuff. Cars.gov is being used to track and use your filesystem.

Apparently, in order for them to share your information, they have to make your computer government property…even so…when a dealer signs up, they are signing over their computers…
UPDATE: According to Glenn Beck, the language has been taken down and they are working to reword it. But does that mean they will stop looking at your computer? Judge Napolitano thinks not…
