Ladies and Gentlemen, I have just received word that Fox News’ Neil Cavuto will be joining us for the Sacramento Tea Party. He will broadcast his show, “Your World With Neil Cavuto,” from the west steps of the Capital. Be sure to show up. UPDATE: APRIL 7: Mark Mekler, the organizer of the Sacramento Tea Party was on Your World with Neil Cavuto today and discussed the possibility of ACORN “activists” disrupting the event.

UPDATE: APRIL 10: Here is updated information on the possible ACORN folks who will try and disrupt the tea parties. As Mark Williams reported, they are going to come with racist propaganda and play it up for the cameras as if they are us. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO IS NOT LET ANY MEDIA TALK TO THESE PEOPLE.

UPDATE: APRIL 14: According to a recent article on FoxNews.com ACORN is not actually trying to “sabotage” tomorrow’s tea party protests. Oh no, see ACORN is really putting together rallies in support of Obama’s tax plan (I mean budget) that just happen to coencide with the national tea party movement. Mark Mekler was quoted in the article as saying “We don’t take them seriously.” Well okay then. Hope you’re right about that mark

Americans, in less than a week, we will march in solidarity in cities all across the nation.
Soon, we will all march together in one city, Washington DC!
Organizers of tea parties around America should meet and plan a Million American March on Washington!

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow misleading the American people saying that black people are being unfairly “singled out.” Of the ten people listed, TWO are black. And black people are being singled out… RIGHT.

April 16, 2009: The Tea Party Legacy
What will the legacy of the tea party protests be? How–if at all–will April 15th, 2009 be remembered? By even 24 hours after the event people already do not seem to care and more than that, many believe the lies propigated by the media. My Political Science professor for example denigrated the many thousands of men and women who took to the streets yesterday from both parties by dismissing them as “teabaggers”; also intimating that they were ignorant or at the very lest pawns of the “vast right-wing conspiracy” because even though they were protesting about taxes, on the whole most of the people were eligible for a tax break. Unfortuneately, many people seem to believe this MSNBC-approved line…
That’s all well and good, but with the utmost respect to the people who ascribe to this belief that people who protest are pawns, ignorant, etc. are themselves ignorant for not looking at the whole picture. Take the state of California for example. Sure, 95% of people are eligible for a tax break–when those eventually take effect. But what about the tax increases at the state level across the board? What about the sales tax increases? Vehicle lisencing fees? What about all the increased taxes that stem from a state government that is THE MOST FISCALLY IRRESPONSIBLE IN THE COUNTRY? But don’t worry because the federal government is going to give you a tax break… Whose going to give a tax break to my grandchildren? The tea parties were not just a protest about taxes, although that was a major part of the events in Sacramento, they were about people asking, begging, pleading for our government to take a hard look at the concequences of their actions. People took to the streets to demand the government stop shreddng the constitution and spending imaginary money for bailouts of companies that don’t deserve them. The people were rallying for common sense, not governmental stupidity.
So at the end of the day what will the legacy of the Tea Party be? Will Barack Obama even take notice of all that transpired yesterday? Will anyone notice that of the hundreds of parties across the country there was not ONE reported incident of violence? (looking at you Ms. Homeland Security.) Will people take the time to actually understand the Tea Parties were not biased? In California, the state GOP caucus was TURNED AWAY. Perhaps people will remember, or maybe they will forget. But why should they? You and I know the real reasons why tens of thousands of our friends, families and neighbors took to the streets, and it is up to all of us to ensure that the real and true reasons behind the protests are remembered. Forget FoxNews, or any other media outlet or political party that might try and insinuate themselves into our protests. Talk to your friends and neighbors, talk to your co-workers, engage people who buy into the MSNBC/CNN lies. Don’t let the media hijack this event and twist it in either direction. April 15th belongs to us, not them, just as this country belongs to us and not them–whomever ‘them’ might be. Let April 15th serve as a rallying cry to all the people of this land to stand up for what they believe in and wrest this country back from greedy politicians and media outlets who do not see a strong nation full of honest, hard working folks, but only see another vote to be bought or a set of eyes to look at their advertisements. Remember April 15th, 2009 as the opening salvo in the war on common sense. Tax day was not our last, final stand as some in the media have said. Tax day was not our Alamo, we drew a line in the sand sure enough, but the fight for the return of common sense to our country is only just beginning…
